Mid-Level Technical Writer

The Mid-Level Technical Writer is expected to be able to:

  1. Develop, edit, and maintain technical documentation, including cybersecurity artifacts, reports, and manuals.
  2. Author and refine Microsoft Word and PowerPoint presentations to effectively communicate technical information.
  3. Collaborate with engineering and cybersecurity teams to accurately document technical processes and solutions.
  4. Ensure consistency, clarity, and compliance with industry and organizational standards.
  5. Review and edit materials for grammar, punctuation, and adherence to technical standards.
  6. Organize and structure documentation to enhance readability and usability for various audiences.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Top Secret Clearance with a CI Poly
  • Associates degree in any discipline
  • Minimum of five (5) years of full-time professional experience in technical writing and authoring presentations.

Overview

We are seeking a Mid-Level Technical Writer to join our Task Order proposal on the Defense Intelligence Agency's Solutions for the Information Technology Enterprise III (SITE III). The Mid-Level Technical Writer identifies, collects, synthesizes, organizes, and manages organizational knowledge in support of business units across an organization.

  • Location: District of Columbia (DC), National Capital Region (NCR)
  • Type of environment: Varies
  • Noise level: Low
  • Work schedule: "Normal work hours" constitute on average 8 hours a day, 40 hours per week (excluding breaks and meal periods) within standard operational hours occurring 0600-1800, Monday-Friday, excluding Federal holidays. May be requested to work evenings and weekends to meet program and contract needs.
  • Amount of Travel: 20%
