As a software engineer, you will work on a specific project critical to Googles needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. With your technical expertise you will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.

As a Technical Lead, you will be responsible for providing expertise over the compiler and runtime boundary and provide technical strategy and guidance to teams. You will develop annual roadmaps for the team in partnership with managers and other technical leads. You will be responsible for driving technical alignment with teams across Googles organizations. You will make contributions to code development, strategy, team culture, and processes. You will identify new opportunities for the team and translate our strategy into priorities and projects for the broader group.

The ML, Systems, & Cloud AI (MSCA) organization at Google designs, implements, and manages the hardware, software, machine learning, and systems infrastructure for all Google services (Search, YouTube, etc.) and Google Cloud. Our end users are Googlers, Cloud customers and the billions of people who use Google services around the world.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $248,000-$349,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Lead, develop, and support training and serving ML development programs and strategy.

Develop stable, standardized APIs to represent and execute ML programs with a goal to de-fragment the ML infrastructure, insulating users from low-level implementation details.

Develop end-to-end solutions for Google's ML ecosystem needs across frameworks, hardware, and tooling.

Strategize, support, and develop large-scale model training infrastructure.

Migrate existing models across frameworks, runtimes, and Product Areas custom workflows, onto standardized ML infrastructure with minimal disruption.
