St. Luke's Health System in Boise, ID is seeking a System Administrator 1 to join our Building Services team.

Under direct supervision, the System Administrator 1 installs and maintains enterprise IT systems, environments and related software to ensure integrity, performance and reliability. This general classification will be used for a wide variety of IHT Administration specialty roles in the Health System, including Communication, Desktop, Network, Storage, Infrastructure and Integration Administrators.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing enterprise system administration, while ensuring appropriate processes are followed and documentation is completed.
• Evaluating system specifications, input and output processes, working parameters and hardware/software compatibility.
• Installing system upgrades including planning, scheduling and testing; troubleshooting networking, server, and other infrastructure related issues. Enabling automation where possible and appropriate.
• Performing maintenance and administration support including growth statistics, identifying trends, and accounting for software/hardware inventories.
• Ensuring that appropriate data/system backup, monitoring, and risk/change management is documented and communicated appropriately.
• Researching and recommending innovative approaches for system/infrastructure administration tasks.
• Ensuring compliance with system software licensing and maintenance agreements.
• Handling routine and lower-level issues and problems, and referring more complex issues to higher-level staff.
• Possessing basic working knowledge of subject matter.
• Performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
