Surgery - General Physician Assistant

Neurosurgery APP Locums Job in Virginia 7 on, 7 off Night Shift Coverage Immediate Start

Jackson and Coker's client is seeking one to two Neurosurgery APPs (Nurse Practitioner and/or Physician Assistant) to assist with 12-hour inpatient day + night shifts starting as soon as September & ongoing. The client has one locums in place that will be covering 2 weeks per month & needs a 2nd provider to rotate on the opposite weeks - they're seeking candidates that are flexible and who are open to doing day or night shifts and that can help starting as soon as possible.

Coverage need:
- Seeking to fill weekday inpatient coverage from 7A - 7P starting ASAP & ongoing through December minimally
- Specific scheduling need is Thursday at 7AM through Wednesday at 7AM
- Seeking candidates that are flexible & open to day or night shift (7A-7P or 7P-7A)

Details for assignment :
- Open to candidates that would need a Virginia license + DEA if they can offer full Thursday - Wednesday stretches
- Open to multiple candidates
- Must have Neurosurgery experience & be skilled in : drain removal, shunt adjustment, trauma/practice call
- Will be covering 2 facilities within 20 minutes of each other, each location being a designated level 1 + level 3 trauma centers
- Both facilities are fairly high volume, will have full support staff to work alongside of and divide volume between
- Facility 1 service line sees an avg of 20-30 PPD, facility 2 service line sees an avg of 8-15 PPD
- Patient population consists of trauma (spine & crani) patients, elective spine patients & elective crani patients
- Service line staff: 8 MD's, 9 APPs
- Epic EMR
