An excellent opportunity for a dynamic Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with Colon and Rectal Surgical experience to join our highly trained multidisciplinary surgical team at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center in Glendale, AZ. Our APP will round on patients in the hospital, see patients in clinic and provide surgical first-assist in the OR. Qualified candidates must be autonomous, have an eagerness to learn, excellent work ethic and the ability to work in a collaborative environment; one that thrives in a highly integrated and innovative setting; and a desire to focus on patient excellence.

Qualifications:

Board Certification as a Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner

Prescribing privileges including DEA license for controlled substance.

ACNP with RNFA certificate required.

Current CPR, BLS, and ACLS

Colorectal surgery/procedural experience strongly preferred; however, new graduates with General Surgery knowledge are encouraged to apply.

Comfortability providing First-Assist; familiarity with Robotic, Laparoscopic and Open cases.

Practice Details:

• Full-time Monday - Thursday 8 AM - 4PM; Friday 8 AM - 1PM

• Clinical/OR Practice

• Call Required: Practice Call and One weekend of hospital call per month

• Provide care from the initial patient point of contact to pre-surgical requirements, and post-op follow-ups.

• Patient-focused, friendly, and collaborative
