The role you'll contribute:

Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Nutrition Services, this position is responsible for receipt, distribution, and safety of all department deliveries. To this end, this position:

• Stocks and inspects all deliveries for quantity, quality, and accuracy
• Oversees safe storage of all items according to industry and department standards
• Ensures cleanliness and sanitation of all storage areas
• Maintains adequate amounts of product required in the department
• Assists in issuing items, updating inventory information, and ordering supplies, as assigned
• Consistently maintains communication with the Assistant Director and other members of the Nutrition Services Management Team to ensure availability of needed products and to address all issues of concern
• Inventories and stocks patient nourishment areas throughout the hospital, as assigned

The value you'll bring to the team:

• Ensures compliance to department policies and procedures and guidelines to affect compliance to state, federal, and regulatory standards
• Stocks food and supplies according to invoice in adherence to safety and sanitary regulations, including compliance industry temperature specifications, to assure that safe, sanitary, and top-quality food and supplies are well organized and readily available for food production and service
• Orders needed product to appropriately replenish inventory
• Rotates fresh produce and dairy product as needed and discards as necessary
• Examines deliveries upon arrival for damage, inaccuracies, shortages, inferior quality, cleanliness, etc. Reports discrepancies or questions to management before accepting or signing for products

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

• Equivalent or Previous related Food Service experience Preferred
