Part-Time Cashier and Stock Associate

Position Type: Part-Time Average Hours: Fewer than 30 hours per week Starting Wage: $19.00 per hour Wage Increases: Year 2 - $19.50 | Year 3 - $20.00 | Year 4 - $20.00 | Year 5 - $21.00

Duties and Responsibilities: Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively with your supervisor.
• Uphold security and confidentiality of documents and data.
• Take on other tasks as assigned by management.

Cashier Responsibilities:

• Process customer purchases and maintain cleanliness in the store.
• Stock shelves and arrange merchandise neatly.
• Provide outstanding customer service to enhance the shopping experience.
• Give feedback to management regarding products, inventory status, and any operational issues.
• Participate in inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Follow cash handling policies to minimize losses.

Stock Associate Responsibilities:

• Efficiently stock shelves and ensure product rotation for freshness.
• Follow merchandising guidelines to create appealing displays.
• Organize new inventory and manage packaging materials.
• Operate machinery safely and adhere to all safety protocols.

Physical Demands:

• Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk about the store.
• Ability to stock products from receiving area to shelves; must be able to lift items weighing up to 45 pounds.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Capable of providing prompt and courteous customer service.
• Ability to perform cleaning duties to meet company standards.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective time management skills.
• Familiarity with the company’s products and services.

Cashier Specific Requirements:

• Efficient and accurate cash register operation.
• Compliance with local regulations for handling and selling alcoholic beverages.

Stock Associate Specific Requirements:

• Safe and appropriate equipment operation, including hand jacks and scrubbing machines.
• Must have morning availability to fulfill operational responsibilities and may start shifts as early as 5:00 a.m.

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience in a retail environment is a plus.
• A combination of education and relevant experience that provides similar knowledge is acceptable.
