In this role you will work directly with private‑equity firms, their portfolio companies and consulting partners to drive the adoption of technology that will allow them to achieve their operational business outcomes. You should enjoy learning and introducing new technology in order to help customers, colleagues and partners embrace new technology. You will provide thought leadership beyond the technology, considering the value that technology creates for our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Increase awareness of Amazon’s cloud computing business value proposition platform within PE firms’ portfolio customers, engage systems integration and M&A advisory partners, and drive technical relationships with PE thought leaders to create new opportunity pipelines.
• Enable the AWS Business Development and Sales teams to more effectively drive their day‑to‑day interactions with key prospects.
• Work closely with AWS Account Solutions Architects, Business Development and Professional Services teams to help PE customers migrate legacy applications and develop cloud‑native applications to grow and transform their businesses, leveraging migration patterns, microservices, serverless, containers, DevOps, DevSecOps, and CI/CD practices.
• Serve as a key technical member of the Business Development team, establishing technical credibility in sales cycles and driving discussions with CTOs, CIOs, Chief Architects and senior developers in both customers and partners across the PE segment.
• Scope each customer engagement, define clear objectives and success criteria.
• Provide technical and architectural guidance to PE firms and their portfolio companies, and help develop cost‑optimization strategies by deploying the right architecture and AWS pricing models.
• Work closely with private‑equity firms and their portfolio companies to ensure they have the technical resources required for success on AWS.
• Build rapport with executives at both the private‑equity firm and the portfolio companies, leveraging your understanding of enterprise architecture, mergers and acquisitions, migration, and cost‑optimization of IT infrastructure and other key technologies.
• Support CEO/CTOs of portfolio companies through AWS Platform briefings, roadmaps, and Solution Architect office hours.
• Support the wider AWS customer base with specialized workshops and training sessions.

Basic Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in specific technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data & analytics.
• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications and infrastructures.
• 5+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting experience in the software or internet industries.

Preferred Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking.
• Experience working with end‑user or developer communities.
• Deep familiarity with complex, legacy IT environments including applications, middleware, storage, networks, information security, and operations.
