Sr. Facilities Maintenance Specialist

Our client, Bloom Energy, a leader in the clean energy industry, is seeking a Sr. Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join their team. As a Sr. Facilities Maintenance Specialist, you will be part of the facilities management team supporting various operational needs. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to maintenance, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Fremont, CA

Pay Range: up to $33 per hour

Shift: 6 pm to 6 am

What's the Job?

• Inspect completed work for compliance with local building and safety codes.
• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on manufacturing facilities.
• Address issues such as leaks, electrical outages, plumbing, or HVAC inefficiencies.
• Monitor systems including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and alarms.
• Coordinate with contractors and outside service providers for specialized tasks.

What's Needed? Facilities Maintenance Specialist Role and Responsibilities

• Inspects completed work for performance with requirements of local building and safety codes.
• Performs routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on buildings for manufacturing facilities.
• Must be able to address issues such as leaks, electrical outages, plumbing or HVAC inefficiencies.
• Will monitor systems such as heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and alarms.
• Ensures fire safety systems are functional and compliant.
• Keeps records of daily inspections and has the ability to understand building maintenance system.
• Paint, patch walls, and assists with office moves or furniture repairs, and flooring maintenance.
• Coordinates with contractors and outside service providers.
• Prioritizes daily activities and work order scheduling.
• Keeps management informed on progress and delays of all preventive maintenance work orders, related jobs, and other repair activities to ensure good customer service.
• Interacts courteously with the staff, vendors and public; maintains effective working relationships.
• Creates P.O.'s PR's for materials and supplies using established guidelines and procedures as required.
• Participates in safety training and meetings and uses safe working practices at all times.
• Responds to emergencies as requested activities and repairs.
• Inspects completed work for performance with requirements of local building and safety codes.
• Executes on additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Skills and Experience

• 5+ years equivalent of proven facilities experience.
• Must have a reliable car and a valid driver's license. Driving between buildings is required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to work efficiently with cross-functional team.
• Ability to multitask and have the ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
• Ability to understand and resolve facilities issues independently.
• Good computer and communication skills (written, verbal, and active listening).
• Highly motivated self-starter, capable of self-management with little to no oversight.
• Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to establish effective cross-functional working relationships.
• Strong requirement to have knowledge of MS Office including Power Point, Excel, and Word.
