Sr. Electrical Project Engineer

The Opportunity:

The Electrical Project Engineer is primarily responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of capital projects safely to meet budget, schedule, and technical objectives at the mill. The Project Engineer will also provide technical assistance to Manufacturing and Maintenance.

  Leads cross-functional teams in the development and implementation of a portfolio of capital projects.

  Leads all aspects of conceptual & preliminary design and core team selection and scope development.

• n

  Leads all aspects of equipment and system selection, procurement, installation, checkout, and commissioning.

  Develops allocation/appropriation requests, creates, and tracks budgets and schedules.

• n

  Develops management of change plan.

  n

• n

  Participates in post-startup tracking & evaluation of results and returns.

• n

  Selects, leads, and manages multiple consulting and contract resources.

• n

  Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.

  Maintains product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations.

  Manages projects during power/recovery boiler annual outages.

  n

• n

  Manages projects during paper machine outages.

  n

• n

  Provides technical support to Maintenance Planners, Foremen, and to other Engineers.

  Follows millu2019s safety protocols in addition to following state and federal safety laws and regulations.

What you need to succeed:

n
• n

  Bacheloru2019s degree in electrical engineering

  n
n
• n

  3-5 yearsu2019 work experience in project management required.

  n
n
• n

  Experience in pulp and paper industry preferred.

  n
n
• n

  Working knowledge of Programmable Logic Controller (e.g. Honeywell, Allen Bradley), Variable Frequency Drives (VFDu2019s) and Power Distribution Systems.

• n

  Proficient computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office

  n
n
• n

  Strong leadership ability along with high ethical standards, with uncompromising focus on worker safety and regulatory compliance requirements.

  Solid ability to organize and plan, working independently with minimal supervision.

  Ability to forecast spending on projects and manage projects within budget.

  Ability to maintain a balance of work priorities and complete assignments within established timeframes.

Compensation Offered:

  Salary Range: $97,300 - $155,500 DOE (Junior, Intermediate, Senior levels)

  Bonus/Commission Eligible: Yearly Short-Term Incentive Program (STIP) bonus based off metrics.
