Our client, a leading organization in the pharmaceutical industry, is seeking a Sr Chemist to join their team. As a Sr Chemist, you will be part of the laboratory team supporting various research and development projects. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Valencia, CA

Pay Range: $33 - $43/hr Duration: 6 month contract

What's the Job?

• Perform physical, chemical, and instrumental testing on raw materials, bulk, and finished products.
• Execute instrumental analytical testing techniques such as HPLC, UPLC, IC, GC, ICP-OES, and ICP-MS.
• Troubleshoot lab instrument and method issues, performing repairs or obtaining appropriate outside service.
• Support validations and transfer of new and existing test methods to Quality Control Labs.
• Review and verify lab documentation for completeness and accuracy prior to reporting.

What's Needed?

• A four-year college or university degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, Biology, or a related science.
• Three to five years of related laboratory experience in a laboratory environment.
• Competent knowledge of chemistry practice and theory, including methods validation and laboratory equipment.
• Ability to statistically analyze and interpret data.
• Proficient in data entry and computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
