Sr. Buyer/Planner

Senior Buyer/Planner – Concord, CA

LHH is teaming up with a specialized manufacturing organization in Concord, CA in search of a Senior Buyer/Planner to support procurement and planning operations within a reagent production environment.

This is a high-impact role within a small, agile team focused on improving supply chain efficiency and supporting production goals. You’ll be joining a collaborative environment where your expertise in planning and procurement will directly influence operational success.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in supply chain management, with specific experience in reagent or raw material procurement. You should be comfortable working independently, confident in your decision-making, and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities. Advanced Excel and Tableau skills are essential, along with familiarity with ERP systems and continuous improvement methodologies like Kaizen.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage procurement of raw materials, especially reagents, to support manufacturing operations.
• Collaborate with planning and operations teams to ensure timely and accurate material availability.
• Maintain and optimize inventory levels based on production forecasts.
• Utilize ERP systems to track orders, manage suppliers, and analyze procurement data.
• Apply Kaizen principles to improve procurement and planning processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or a related field (required).
• 5+ years of experience in buyer, planner, or supply chain specialist roles (required).
• Minimum 2 years of direct buyer and planner experience.
• Industry experience in reagent manufacturing or similar (required).
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and Tableau (required).
• Experience with any ERP system (required).
• Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.

Job Type: Temp to Hire

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Fully On-Site – Concord, CA

Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Pay Rate: $60–$72/hour (depending on experience.)
