Sr. Architect - Java FS (Onsite)

As an Architect, you will make an impact by designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications. With a focus on Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, you will contribute to innovative solutions that drive business success. You will be a valued member of the Digital Engineering team and work collaboratively with other stakeholders and teams.

In this role, you will:

• Design and implement scalable and efficient architecture solutions using Spring Boot and Microservices to meet business requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of Java-based applications and REST Web Services.
• Analyze and optimize existing systems to improve performance and reliability in the Payer domain.
• Develop comprehensive technical documentation to support system architecture and design processes.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members to foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
• Ensure adherence to best practices and industry standards in software development and architecture design.
• Conduct regular code reviews to maintain high-quality code standards and identify areas for improvement.
• Lead the development of innovative solutions to complex technical challenges driving continuous improvement.
• Oversee the deployment and maintenance of applications in a hybrid work model ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications and solutions.
• Monitor and evaluate emerging technologies to recommend and implement new tools and practices that enhance system capabilities.
• Ensure compliance with security protocols and data protection regulations in all architectural designs.
• Drive the successful delivery of projects by managing timelines, resources, and deliverables effectively.

Based on this role's business requirements, this is an onsite position requiring 5 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Dallas, TX.

What you need to have to be considered:

• 12+ years of software development experience.
• Possess a deep understanding of Spring Boot and Microservices architecture with proven experience in designing and implementing solutions.
• Demonstrate strong proficiency in Java programming and REST Web Services with a focus on creating robust and scalable applications.
• Have extensive experience in the Payer domain with a track record of delivering successful projects in this area.
• Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical issues to develop effective solutions.

Salary and compensation: The annual salary for this position will be between $102k to $162k depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
