Sr. AI Engineer

Job Title: Senior Engineer - AI/ML
About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior Engineer to design, develop, and deploy AI/ML solutions across multiple business units, including reporting, filing, and shared services. This role focuses on end-to-end execution of projects leveraging large language models, search technologies, and automation to deliver both internal and customer-facing solutions. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement scalable, high-impact AI applications.
Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain AI/ML and LLM-driven systems for business workflows.
  
• Implement Python-based solutions; experience with Java, Scala, or Kotlin is a plus.
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across filing, reporting, configuration, and calculation systems.
  
• Drive projects from concept through production, ensuring technical quality and timely delivery.
  
• Integrate AI solutions into internal tools and customer-facing systems.
  
• Ensure AI models and systems meet security, privacy, and compliance standards.
  
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  
• Support deployment, monitoring, and optimization of AI/ML applications in production.

Requirements:

• 5 years of experience in software engineering, with strong Python expertise.
  
• Experience building or deploying AI/ML solutions, preferably with large language models or search systems.
  
• Familiarity with additional programming languages (Java, Scala, Kotlin) is a plus.
  
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and collaboration skills.
  
• Proven ability to manage end-to-end technical projects.
  
• Excellent communication skills for cross-team collaboration and technical documentation.
  
• Nice to have: experience with responsible AI, regulatory compliance, or enterprise-scale AI deployments.

Work Environment & Location:

• Hybrid work setup: on-site 2-3 days per week in NYC (Astor Place area).
