Job Summary:
The Sports Coordinator - Flag Football is responsible for enhancing the i9 Sports Experience for players and coaches. The Sports Coordinator builds relationships with players, parents, and coaches while making sure that the instructional aspects of the i9 Sports Experience are delivered. Assisting our volunteer coaches, especially during the practice portion of the hour, is paramount. And when a team does not have a volunteer coach, you'll step in to coach. The position entails hands-on involvement with practices and games among all age groups and skill levels. The job days and times are specifically Saturday during the day and Sunday mornings.
Responsibilities:
- Empower volunteer coaches to lead practice sessions focusing on fundamentals, skill development, and fun
- Teach & demonstrate core concepts including both football skills and sportsmanship values
- Supervise the overall operation of football on game day
- Help referee flag football games
- Interact positively with parents, children, and other staff
Qualifications:
- You have experience playing football at least at a varsity high school level.
- You are not shy. You can walk into a group of 20 young kids and command some respect and lead in a positive manner.
- You can focus on safety and can take charge of any situation to ensure the safety of players
- You are available to work weekends beginning August 30 (this part-time role is weekends only).
Compensation: $20.00 per hour
