Speech Language Pathologist
AB Staffing is looking for an experienced Speech Language Pathologist that is available for the 2024/2025 school year.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Speech Pathology, Speech Audiology, Communications Disorders, or similar program.
- National and state certifications: ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence and State Speech Language Pathologist Certificate
- Positive, energetic, and compassionate approach to education.
- Experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting a plus.
- Must demonstrate initiative and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Must have the ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time; see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone; and the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; May include frequent walking, standing, stooping, lifting up to approximately 25 pounds and occasional lifting of equipment and/or materials weighing up to approximately 40 pounds may be required.
- Caseload and details of position/classroom type will differ based on school location

- Contract through the 2024/2025 school year - 37.5 to 40 hours per week depending on school/district.
- Contract follows the academic district calendar
Essential Functions:
- Identify students needing specialized speech or language services and provide tailored solutions for academic success.
- Conduct individual and group therapy using curriculum-based materials and provide progress reports.
- Supervise support staff, consult with educators, and provide alternative communication systems.
- Create engaging learning environments and promote social, physical, and intellectual growth.
- Explore individual learning needs, develop personalized solutions, and implement curriculum goals.
- Model mature behavior, uphold values, and encourage character development.
- $60/hr.- $65/hr.
- Starting at $2,400.00-$2,600.00 per week depending on location (Based on 40 hours)
