Job Schedule: Part Time

Weekly Hours: 20.00

Salary Range: $18.00 - $25.50

Pay Info: A $5,000 sign-on bonus is available for eligible candidates with a two-year commitment.

You will work collaboratively with pharmacy and clinic staff to enhance patient care.

Pharmacy Hours & Shift Information:

• Monday - Friday 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
• Closed Nights, Weekends, and 6 major Holidays
• Shifts will vary between call center and central operations, with primary interactions being conducted over the phone.

Don’t Have Your Pharmacy Technician License?

If you're starting your career in pharmacy, you can begin by obtaining a Tech-in-Training License and enrolling in Sanford Health's Pharmacy Technician University (PTU). This program is designed to meet North Dakota's pharmacy laws and regulations, with costs covered by Sanford.

Participants have 12 months to complete the PTU and will be eligible to apply for their Pharmacy Technician License afterward.

Job Summary

A Specialty Pharmacy focuses on providing medications and services for patients with complex medical conditions, specializing in high-cost medications and comprehensive patient support. Our mission is to deliver outstanding service to patients starting and maintaining specialty medication therapy.

As a Specialty Pharmacy Technician, your key responsibilities include:

• Completing the initial review and intake of prescriptions.
• Providing refill reminder calls for active patients.
• Answering incoming calls promptly and directing them accordingly.
• Accurately filling prescriptions under pharmacist supervision.
• Preparing and packaging medications for shipping.
• Maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you should possess at least a high school diploma (or GED) and register as a Pharmacy Technician or Technician in Training with the ND Board of Pharmacy before starting work. You will need to complete ASHP accredited education and obtain national certification within the required timeline.
