Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and self-sufficient Pharmacist to join our team. This role requires an experienced professional who can work independently and ensure the safe, effective, and compliant delivery of pharmacy services in a rural hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and manage all pharmacy operations within the facility.
Review, prepare, and dispense medications accurately according to physician orders.
Monitor patient medication therapies and provide appropriate recommendations to healthcare providers.
Ensure compliance with federal and state pharmacy regulations.
Maintain accurate records and inventory of pharmaceuticals.
Provide patient education and counseling on medication use and side effects.
Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other staff to ensure optimal patient care.

Qualifications

Active Pharmacist License in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain prior to start).
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent degree required.
Minimum 2 years of hospital or critical access pharmacy experience preferred.
Ability to work independently and manage pharmacy operations solo.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
