Special Education Teacher

The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator provides quality services to special education students, kindergarten through grade 12. The Special Education Teacher has a commitment to team participation in planning and implementation of student programs including special instruction, tutorial assistance and consultation with general education staff.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university preferred
• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations
• Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred
• State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Elementary Teaching preferred
• State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Secondary Teaching preferred
• State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Special Teaching preferred
• Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Local Pay rate: $38-40/hr

10+ ESE Teacher positions available

• Requirements: ESE certificate AND Elementary Education K-6 degree OR Pre-K-3rd (Early Childhood) degree; Both through the DOE
• Needs to be specified in the submission
• MUST HAVE: Strong behavioral experience, used to working with students with behavior needs as well as a strong autism background; Mainly ASD students
• Location: In the submission I need to know the following:
• Where do they live?
• How far are they willing to commute?
• Provide which geographical area of Pasco County that they prefer (EX: Southeast area of the county)
• Sites will be discussed within the interview

• Interview Portion: ALL candidates will interview with Kaley Aguilera, ESE Coordinator along with member of Student Services via virtually. This will be considered the "stamp of approval" interview. Once approved, at the end of the interview Kaley will schedule the candidate to speak with the agreed upon school's administrator.
