Solderer Assembler - 1st Shift - $22/hr-$25/hr

Job Description

The Solderer Assembler will be responsible for soldering and assembling cable and wire harness assemblies, box builds, kitting, and other products completely from start to finish. This role involves PCB soldering using automated methods like wave soldering for through-hole components and reflow soldering for surface-mount components, utilizing both lead-free and lead-based solder paste and alloys.

Responsibilities

• Read work orders and follow production documentation and sample assemblies.

• Receive verbal instructions regarding duties.

• Perform tasks such as labeling, wire cutting, stuffing, crimping, bag and tag, soldering, potting, IDC, SCSI, heat shrink, PC board soldering, backshelling, harnessing, harness board construction, box builds, kitting, creating wire lists, and pin extraction.

• Assist in the Quality Management System (QMS) and commit to continuous improvement.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in soldering, assembly, and reading schematics and blueprints.

• Familiarity with labeling, wire cutting, crimping, SCSI, and harness assembly.

• Knowledge of IPC 610/620 standards and J-STD-001 certification (can be expired).

• Ability to use microscopes, long nose pliers, side cutters, and soldering irons.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with harness assembly and PCB soldering techniques.

• Ability to work from verbal instructions and production documentation.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
