Compensation

The anticipated base pay compensation range for this position is $131,200.00 to $218,700.00.

Individual base pay compensation will depend, in part, on factors such as geographic work location and relevant experience and skills.

You Will

1. Create RESTful APIs primarily using Kotlin.
2. Deploy images to cloud provider leveraging internal CD tooling.
3. Monitor and maintain production applications primarily using Datadog.
4. Mentor, coach, and provide feedback to engineers on your team and/or domain.
5. Optimize CI/CD pipelines for application as needed.
6. Partner with engineering manager, architects, and product owners to design solutions for business initiatives.
7. Pair program daily using test driven development to write application code and coach team members.
8. Promote effective coding practices like SOLID Principles, refactoring patterns, and clean code.
9. Create an environment where quality (testing + observability) is a shared responsibility, engineers strive to write maintainable applications, and learning is a collaborative activity.

You Have

• 10+ years of experience with Modern Software Engineering projects and practices: designing, building, and deploying scalable software applications.
• 5+ years of experience in designing, building and deploying cloud native solutions.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with others in gatherings of 20+ team members.
• Understanding of distributed system design and experience building distributed systems.
• Experience with MVC frameworks for back-end development.
• Experience with messaging systems like Kafka.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL database technologies such PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Coached and Mentored team members.
• Some understanding of HTTP1.1/2.0, Domain Driven Design, OAuth 2.0, Envoy, and API gateways.
