Software Developer - Junior

Overview

As a Top Secret Software Developer for this program, you will be working in an organization whose mission is to develop and operate the best possible software for critical national security enterprise applications. This organization leverages SCRUM and SAFE Agile software development methodologies and strong DevOps practices. This position is contingent upon award.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and debug new software or enhancements to existing software.
• Have a good understanding of business applications as well as user, performance, quality, interface, and security requirements.
• Work with technical staff to understand problems with software and resolve them.
• Resolve customer complaints with software and respond to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
• Contribute to design, testing, security lockdown implementation, integration with standard software packages, integration with automated patching and deployment technologies, documentation, and training, including automating application and configuration deployments and updates.

Typical Day

• Design, develop, test, maintain, and deploy new software applications.
• Analyze and design new software solutions based on user and technical requirements.
• Develop software in the AWS cloud.
• Analyze existing architecture and new requirements and prepare technical recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Respond outside of core business hours to critical tickets and incidents related to the application.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret with SCI Eligibility.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
• Education: Bachelor\'s Degree in Information Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Business or other related field.
• In absence of degree, additional years of experience may be substituted for educational requirements.

Salary and Benefits

Salary: The annual starting salary for this position is between $92,000–$112,000. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
