Software Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Developer who is proficient in backend and frontend development with a focus on backend technologies. The position emphasizes working with a 70/30 split between backend and frontend responsibilities, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of full-stack development.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Java, JavaScript, Ruby on Rails, and backend Java.
• Implement containerization and manage Docker containers effectively.
• Utilize Golang, Java, Ruby, or JavaScript for core backend development.
• Develop frontend interfaces using JavaScript.
• Contribute to full-stack development projects, ensuring seamless integration between backend and frontend.
• Work with cloud services and infrastructure as code using AWS, Terraform, and Ansible.
• Manage and orchestrate containerized applications using Kubernetes.

Essential Skills

• Must have experience with Ruby on Rails, JavaScript and Kubernetes
• Proficiency in at least one of the core backend languages: Golang, Java,
• Strong experience with JavaScript for frontend development.
• Expertise in containerization and Docker.
• Knowledge of AWS for cloud deployment.
• Experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform and Ansible.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes for application orchestration.
• This role requires sole US citizenship due to the nature of the work with the US Government.

Work Environment

The role operates on East Coast hours, with flexibility to work from any location. The standard working hours are 9 AM to 5 PM. The work environment encourages a collaborative and innovative atmosphere, utilizing modern technologies and methodologies. Open to 100% remote w/no travel- must commit to east coast working hours.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr.
