Social Worker – Hospice – 40 Hours – Days

Location: Oakland County Territory

Hours: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Weekends: Required – Rotation

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Responsible for the provision of social work services to patients and their families.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

· Masters of Social Work degree required.

· Must be a Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW).

· ACSW and previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

Demonstrates understanding of the following:

o Impact of involvement,

o Personal attitude toward illness,

o Handicaps,

o Death and loss, on the quality of patient care and staff effectiveness.

Knowledgeable of the following basic:

o Medical procedures,

o Terminology,

o Etiology

o Disease process associated with the illnesses of the client population.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

· Licensure in the State of Michigan as a Social Worker (LMSW).
