Slitter Operator

We are seeking an experienced machine operator to set up and operate large Slitter Machines that cut large rolls of material. Experience with slitter machines, printing presses, press brakes, laminators, die cutters, guillotine machines, and shears is highly beneficial. As a slitter operator, you will be responsible for managing computer-controlled machines and ensuring precision in your work.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate large Slitter Machines.
• Load and unload rolls of material on and off machines.
• Use a forklift for material handling.
• Check measurements and specifications, signing off on documentation to ensure compliance.
• Perform changeovers for new jobs.
• Maintain a clean work area and assist with packaging and other duties as directed.

Essential Skills:

• 5+ years' experience running manufacturing machines, preferably a slitter machine.
• Ability to operate and set up slitter machines and similar equipment.
• Comfortable with computer-controlled machinery.
• Forklift operation experience.
• Proficient in using measurement tools and capable of reading and writing in English.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs consistently throughout the day.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience with printing presses, press brakes, laminators, and die cutters.
• Ability to stand for up to 8 hours a day.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
