Shipping and Receiving Lead

Shipping and Receiving Lead will oversee the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies to ensure projects are executed in a timely and efficient manner to meet all scheduling constraints.

Duties and responsibilities include:

• Collaborate with Warehouse Logistics Manager on warehouse shipping and receiving logistics and communicate with all parties involved including outside service providers.
• Organize all work areas for efficiency, organization, and cleanliness to optimize warehouse for material handling and shipping/receiving.
• Process paperwork such as bills of lading, transmittals, FMRs, etc.
• Follow check in/check out processes for deliveries using Power Purchasing.
• Performs quality control and quality assurance on all products departing the shop (visual observations).
• Complete PTPs and follow all safety policies, rules, and regulations.

Qualifications include:

• Must have experience in warehouse and production settings.
• Maintain current forklift and basic rigging certification.
• Proficiency with Office 365, MS Excel, Smartsheet.
• Ability to work independently and work well with others in a multi-functional environment.
• Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, and schedule form.
• Ability to coordinate a variety of routine projects and activities simultaneously.
• Outstanding communication and customer service skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Typical working hours may vary. Generally, Monday Friday during normal business hours, but when deadlines approach, they may be required to work extended hours, including some weekend work.

The Shipping and Receiving Lead is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Temperature of warehouse may vary by season due to operating bay doors. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
