nAECOM's Water Business Line is actively seeking a Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer . The successful candidate will work with other technical disciplines on all project phases to deliver a variety of water, wastewater, and resiliency projects. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with a variety of exciting, challenging projects locally and worldwide.
nThis position can be based out of our Fort Lauderdale, Tampa, Orlando, or West Palm Beach, Florida office location .
nAs a Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer , you will play a key role in both technical execution and team leadership. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to

Lead and oversee the design and development of water and wastewater treatment, conveyance, and distribution projects.
n n - n
Prepare engineering reports, design calculations, technical specifications, drawings, and cost estimates.
n n - n
Manage project schedules, and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) processes.
n n - n
Coordinate with clients, contractors, subconsultants, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
n n - n
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and design staff.
n n - n
Perform capacity analysis for water and wastewater systems (as applicable).
n n - n
Review and stamp engineering deliverables in accordance with professional licensure requirements.
n n - n
Stay current with emerging technologies, sustainability practices, and evolving industry regulations.
n n - n
Demonstrate strong organizational and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
n n - n
Demonstrate a proactive mindset and commitment to delivering high-quality, innovative solutions.

Demonstrate a strong understanding of local, state, and federal regulations.

Utilize excellent communication skills with the ability to engage clients, agencies, and stakeholders .

Qualifications
nMinimum Requirements:
n- n
- n
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field and 8 years of relevant experience in municipal water/wastewater infrastructure projects or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Experience with civil/environmental engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, or similar).
n n - n
Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida.
n n - n
Valid US Driver's License, and as a condition of employment, pass AECOM's motor vehicle records review.
n n
Preferred Qualifications:

10+ years of experience in water/wastewater infrastructure design, including pipelines and lift stations.
n n - n
Experience with design-build or alternative project delivery methods.
n n - n
Experience leading multi-office or multidisciplinary design teams.
n n - n
Knowledge of sustainability practices, green infrastructure, and advanced treatment technologies.
n n - n
Master's degree in civil or environmental engineering.
n n - n
Experience in construction phase engineering services.
n n - n
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and technical presentations.
