We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Senior Substation Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and delivering large-scale substation projects. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful delivery of projects within the agreed timelines, budget, and quality. You will be involved in the entire project lifecycle, from initial concept through to completion, working closely with a variety of stakeholders including engineers, clients, and contractors. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional to make a significant impact in a leading engineering firm.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage and oversee all aspects of the substation project lifecycle, including planning, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
2. Collaborate with various stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and internal teams, to ensure project requirements are met.
3. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
4. Lead project meetings and provide regular updates to stakeholders on project progress, risks, and issues.
5. Use AutoCAD to create and review project designs and plans.
6. Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and quality standards.
7. Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies as necessary.
8. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, identifying opportunities for process and efficiency improvements.
9. Provide technical guidance and support to project team members.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Project Management role in the engineering industry, with a focus on substation projects.
3. Proven experience in managing large-scale, complex projects from initial concept through to completion.
4. Proficient in AutoCAD and other relevant software.
5. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team to achieve project goals.
6. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to a variety of audiences.
7. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address project risks and issues.
8. Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets and schedules.
9. A strong understanding of safety and quality standards in the engineering industry.
10. Professional Engineer (PE) certification is preferred.
