Expected salary range: $144,900 to $161,000, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes a bonus and 401(k).
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
To perform advanced engineering problem solving in support of nuclear plant operations, making key technical decisions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of their engineering discipline and a solid grasp of relevant industry codes and regulations. Functioning as an industry expert in a specific technical area is essential.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Carry out advanced engineering and technical tasks to support nuclear plant operations.
- Conduct independent research and analyses for technical projects.
- Provide expert technical guidance to manage and execute engineering activities related to plant safety, reliability, maintainability, and compliance with regulations and corporate policies.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness in engineering work, adhering to design criteria and codes.
- Offer technical expertise for identifying and resolving equipment and system challenges.
- Manage engineering issues effectively, leading tasks from inception to completion.
- Recommend equipment and innovative techniques to enhance performance, reduce costs, and meet regulatory changes.
- Support plant design modifications, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Ensure all engineering outputs satisfy safety analyses, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee functional supervisory activities, including personnel management and budget planning related to engineering staff.
- Fulfill additional duties as directed by management, which may include emergency response and support for outage activities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Nuclear) with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated technical leadership experience and strong teamwork attributes.
- Ability to meet access requirements and favorable medical evaluations as needed for position duties.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional Engineer (PE) License is preferred.
