Senior Project Manager

Job Summary:
The Infrastructure Program Manager will play a pivotal role in program managing complex infrastructure projects in a cross functional matrixed organization ensuring the implementation of best practices, and maintaining a strong focus on Agile methodologies. This role requires a candidate with a robust infrastructure background, hands-on experience with SRE functions, and exceptional organizational and leadership skills. The ideal candidate should understand containerization technologies (Open Shift preferable), Relational Databases (Oracle), Java Technologies (Tomcat, JVM). The candidate will act as a SCRUM master for infrastructure work, overseeing Agile processes using tools like JIRA and Confluence.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Program Management:

• • Manage infrastructure initiatives, ensuring projects align with company goals.
  • Use your strong infrastructure background to understand the technical intricacies of projects and guide teams effectively.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are on track and within scope.

Agile and SCRUM Master:

• • Lead infrastructure teams in Agile methodologies, acting as a SCRUM master for infrastructure work.
  • Ensure Agile processes are followed, and teams are using tools like JIRA and Confluence effectively.
  • Continuously improve Agile practices to enhance project delivery.

Strategic Planning:

• • Dive into project details, ask the right questions, and help define well-structured project plans.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to establish clear project objectives and deliverables.

Technical Expertise:

• • Leverage your hands-on experience with SRE-type functions to support infrastructure teams.
  • Assist in technical decision-making and troubleshooting as needed.

Process Compliance:

• • Ensure that Agile and JIRA processes are consistently followed by infrastructure teams.
  • Keep Agile and JIRA tools updated and aligned with project requirements.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of documentation in Confluence.

Qualifications

• Strong background in infrastructure with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
• Previous hands-on experience with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) functions is highly desirable.
• Proven experience in program management and Agile methodologies.
• Exceptional organizational and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in Agile project management tools like JIRA and Confluence.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
