Senior Pega System Architect
About the role: As a Senior Pega System Architect, you will make an impact by leading the design, development, and deployment of scalable Pega applications that support enterprise-level business solutions. You will be a valued member of the Technology & Engineering team and work collaboratively with business architects, developers, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure high-quality delivery and alignment with business goals.
In this role, you will:
- Architect and implement complex business rules using the Pega Platform.
- Mentor and guide junior Pega developers and system architects.
- Define and enforce design standards, guardrails, and best practices for Pega development.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Oversee Pega Process Modeling to streamline and optimize workflows.
- Monitor and enhance performance and scalability of Pega applications.

Based on this role's business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Charlotte, NC. What you need to have to be considered:
- Pega Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA).
- Minimum 8 years of IT experience, with at least 6 years in Pega BPM (PRPC, Pega Infinity).
- Strong expertise in Pega Smart Dispute Framework.
- Experience integrating Pega with REST/SOAP APIs, MQ, JMS, and external databases.
- Hands-on experience with containerized deployments (e.g., OpenShift, Kubernetes).
- Proven success in delivering solutions within financial services environments.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
These will help you stand out:
- Pega Certified Lead System Architect (PCLSA) certification.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Ability to lead technical discussions and present solutions to senior stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Passion for mentoring and developing talent within the team.

Salary and other compensation: Applications will be accepted until November 08, 2025.
The annual salary for this position is between $129,500- 150,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
