UW Medical Center-Northwest Plant Engineering has an outstanding opportunity for a Senior Painter.

WORK SCHEDULE

• 100% FTE

• Monday - Friday

• Day Shift; 7:00am - 3:30pm

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

Plant Engineering provides engineering, repair & maintenance services to the main hospital buildings, garage, and grounds. Areas of responsibility include building shell & structures, HVAC, utility, and other critical environment of care support systems.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBLIITIES

• Proactively assesses painting needs throughout facility and submits work requests when painting needs to be performed

• Instructs and manages all painters contracted to complete specific projects

• Assists management with annual budget by estimating painting portion expenses

• Installs and maintains wall guards, kick plates, tack boards and bumper rails

• Install and repairs wallpaper and vinyl wall covering; removes stains from ceilings; repairs drywall

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 5 years experience at the journeyman level, in all aspects of painting, wood finishing and drywall required

• Completion of recognized journeyman apprenticeship/training program or equivalent experience required

• High School graduation, diploma, GED or equivalent
