Senior Network Engineer for Insider Threat Program

The Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos is excited to offer an opportunity for a Senior Network Engineer to play a critical role in supporting the Insider Threat Program (ITP) for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). This position allows you to leverage your expertise to enhance and evolve the ITP's network infrastructure, vital for identifying insider threats to safeguard the nation.

In this role, you'll be responsible for:

• Maintaining the ITP network infrastructure, including routine updates and system enhancements.
• Overseeing the High Speed Guard Cross Domain solution for secure data transfer across various classification domains.
• Documenting and capturing the configuration baseline effectively.
• Designing system recapitalization plans to support capacity growth based on customer directives.
• Serving as the subject matter expert on all ITP network infrastructure matters.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification.
• Proven experience with LAN and WAN Switches and Firewalls, ensuring seamless integration into existing infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of defense-in-depth principles and network security architecture.
• Experience with installing, configuring, and maintaining Cisco equipment including models 2900, 4500, 9300, 9400, 6800, Nexus 9000, Firepower, and ASA.
• Knowledge of the information security incident lifecycle management.
• Experience with network management tools such as Solarwinds or WhatsUP Gold.
• Familiarity with VMWARE, Linux, Microsoft Server, and Active Directory.
• Capability to develop efficient firewall policies and rule sets.
• Experience deploying network configurations compliant with NIST, FISMA, and STIG standards.
• Ability to support Authorization to Operate (ATO) reviews and audits.
• Eligible to obtain DHS EOD SCI clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in IT Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in IT service delivery management.
• Familiarity with User Activity Monitoring products.
• Experience with the Everfox High Speed Guard Platform.
• Knowledge of Cisco and Juniper LAN/WAN infrastructure.
• Experience working with Palo Alto Firewalls.
• Certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) - Security.
• Palo Alto Networks Accredited Configuration Engineer (ACE) - PAN-OS 7.0 Version certification.
