Job Description

As a Sr Mechanical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design team to develop the next generation eCoin system. Your responsibilities include concept development, assessing feasibility, designing the product, and ensuring that it meets user requirements and needs. You will create designs from early concepts, focusing on Design for Manufacturability (DfM) and Design for Test (DfT) concerns. This role requires participating in quality tasks such as returned product assessment and failure analysis, as well as creating documentation for R&D product development and manufacturing deployment. You will also participate in and lead design reviews throughout all design phases.

Essential Skills

  Proficiency in SolidWorks for designing new products, product accessories, manufacturing fixtures, and tools.

  Understanding of tolerance stack-up analysis and creating acceptance limits.

• n

  Experience in designing Class III medical device implants and accessories.

  n

• n

  Ability to identify and resolve design challenges with MVP demonstration.

• n

  Experience with failure analysis, root-cause determination, and non-conformance/CAPA systems.

• n

  Leadership in pioneering new designs based on user needs and requirements.

• n

  Risk assessment skills for ensuring long-term reliability of designs.

  Ability to work independently and lead design efforts.

  Good verbal and written communication skills for various stakeholders.

  Experience in transferring products from design to manufacturing.

  Demonstration of DfT and DfM in designs.

  Familiarity with ISO and relevant ASTM standards.

  Experience working with clinical, regulatory, sales and marketing, manufacturing, and quality stakeholders.

Work Environment

The work environment involves using state-of-the-art mechanical design tools and software such as SolidWorks. You will collaborate with a diverse team of professionals across various departments including Clinical, Regulatory, Sales and Marketing, Manufacturing, and Quality. The role requires strong communication skills to effectively convey ideas and solutions to stakeholders throughout the design life cycle.
