Our expected salary range for this role is $144,900 to $161,000, depending on experience, complemented by our comprehensive benefits package.

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will engage in advanced engineering problem-solving to support nuclear plant operations, making crucial technical decisions while demonstrating superior knowledge in your field. You will apply your extensive understanding of industry codes and regulations, functioning with industry-level expertise.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Conduct advanced engineering tasks to support nuclear operations.
• Perform independent studies and analyses for technical projects.
• Provide extensive technical expertise to develop and implement engineering activities that enhance plant safety, reliability, maintainability, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of deliverables, while managing configuration and adhering to design standards.
• Identify and resolve equipment and system issues through direct involvement.
• Manage engineering issues from initial to complete task phases.
• Recommend innovations to enhance performance, minimize construction complexities, and adapt to regulatory changes.
• Support modifications to plant design, testing, and troubleshooting efforts.
• Ensure that all engineering outputs align with safety analyses and industry regulations.
• Oversee functional supervisory activities, including personnel management, budgeting, and planning.
• Fulfill all job assignments as required by company policy or management directives, including emergency response activities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear) with at least 10 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Proven technical leadership skills, teamwork, and leadership qualities.
• Ability to meet minimum access and medical requirements pertinent to the role.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Professional Engineer (PE) License.
• Experience in thermal hydraulics.
• Prior experience in a nuclear plant setting.
