Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Trillium Professional is now seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer in Chatsworth, CA!

Job Duties:

• Plans and designs manufacturing processes.
• Maximizes efficiency by analyzing layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization.
• Determines parts and tools needed in order to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specification.
• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
• Works under immediate supervision.

Basic Functions:

• Design and develop mechanical systems, keeping in mind the budget and timelines.
• To generate 3D models of enclosures and mechanical packaging and Assembly drawings in SolidWorks.
• To generate conceptual design, PCB board design, layout and packaging in SolidWorks.
• Product-focused creative thinking and strong attention to detail design.
• Developing and building prototypes to test their function.
• Analyzing and testing existing products to identify areas for improvement.
• Work directly with all departments to resolve manufacturing issues.
• Must have working knowledge of mold making, dies, tooling, assembly, manufacturing fixtures and processes.
• Experience in fiberglass and foaming a plus (parts and assemblies are fabricated from foam, fiberglass, castings, resins and aluminum).
• Some injection molding experience.
• Produce/support technical and engineering documents (Spec. Router, ECO, ECR).

Annual salary is $150k/year.
