What you'll do as a Senior Solutions Engineer Manager, Federal

You are the team enabler, point of reference, and coach. You will work closely with Public Sector prospects and customers by supporting and improving your team's technical expertise. You will help onboard new team members and ensure workloads are distributed fairly. You are personable and provide constructive feedback when necessary. You will help escalate and identify issues quickly and efficiently and work with other managers and the regional lead to ensure proper regional coordination. The Manager is a player/coach who also contributes individually at a high level.

To aid your team, you will collaborate with every group at Cloudflare, from Sales and Product to Engineering and Customer Support. Your goal is customer success to drive scalable solutions for customer needs across the organization.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience in coaching, leadership, or team management of mid-sized Solutions Engineering organizations.
• Experience providing public sector contract management, contract negotiation, compliance, project management, or related support for commercial products, SaaS, PaaS, and/or government contract schedules or frameworks.
• Experience working with government agencies or customers in the United States.
• Demonstrable experience in navigating technical sales for large enterprise accounts.
• Demonstrable experience in understanding and solving escalations, team issues, or other management-related scenarios.
• Proven track record of partnering with account executives and customer success teams to deliver Cloudflare solutions to customers.

Responsibilities

• Workload management.
• Conduct 1:1s with team members.
• Act as a point of escalation for team issues and escalate issues that cannot be solved within the team.
• Recruit, interview, and onboard new team members.
• Develop team members in skills, knowledge, and career within Cloudflare, including developing managers or future leaders.
• Manage performance and set high standards.
• Report on individual SE strengths and weaknesses.

Compensation

Compensation may be adjusted depending on work location. This role is eligible to earn incentive compensation under Cloudflare\'s Sales Compensation Plan. The estimated annual salary range includes the on-target incentive compensation that may be attained in this role under the Sales Compensation Plan.

Equity

This role is eligible to participate in Cloudflare\'s equity plan.
