Job Summary:

The Treasury Department Senior Investment Analyst is responsible for providing management with treasury, investment, financial data, information, and analysis necessary to make operational, investment, and tactical decisions. This analysis is both routine and ad hoc. It involves interaction with employees at all organizational levels, across multiple disciplines, banking and investment institutions and other companies outside of the organization. Routine responsibilities include but not limited to: Investments: quarterly rollforward of investments, contract review, journal entries, manager, custodial and trustee reconciliations, policies and procedures, compilation of information for rating agencies and other related investment tasks, Treasury Operations: back up to daily exception reporting, backup day to day treasury operations, assisting in contract review, assessment and implementation of related products, services, technology within the treasury arena. Responsibilities also include month-end/year-end closing, monthly balance sheet and income statement analysis/reconciliations, inter-company transactions and reconciliations i.e., construction fund, investment related invoice processing, monthly purchasing and sales report, fiscal year end audit responsibilities, and ensuring the accuracy of the financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and in accordance with WellStar Health System's policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned. Backup to Cash & Investment Manager and other Treasury Department staff.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

1. Investment Responsibilities including but not limited to: Operating Reserve, Pension, Foundation, Captive: CAC (Community Assurance Company), Construction Fund a. Journal Entries b. Manager/Custodial/Trustee Reconciliations c. Follow up and resolution of account discrepancies d. Assist with establishing and maintaining Policy and Procedures e. Maintain Investment Related Spreadsheets f. Maintain Records of Investments g. Produce monthly purchases and sales report h. Monthly close recon reports investment income by manager, jv uploads, report with investment categories, i.e., unrealized gain/losses, cost, etc. i. Quarterly and annual ALATU roll forward reporting j. Review and perform account analysis of assigned accounts k. Payment of Investment related invoices l. Monthly investment fees accruals m. Contract/agreement review m. Compilation of information and/or reports for rating agencies, auditors and others as needed 2. Other Treasury Responsibilities: a. Fiscal year-end tasks including year-end journal entries b. Prepare interim and year-end audit schedules c. Research investment/treasury/accounting issues as necessary and report to management d. Participate in the validation of new and existing reports e. Backup to exception reporting, decisioning, cash reporting review. f. Cross train/backup with/to other Treasury staff 3. Other Duties as Assigned a. Assist with Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Contracts, Agreements b. Recommend, implement, and maintain process improvements c. Prepare interim reporting d. Assist with governmental regulations and other requirements i.e., annual 990s, bond disclosure/statements, rating agencies e. Projects as assigned by management f. Other Ad hoc reporting, projects and other duties as assigned Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.

Required Minimum Education:

• Bachelors Accounting or Bachelors Finance

Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):

All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.

Required Minimum Experience:

Minimum 5 years Treasury, accounting, investments, finance - preferably in healthcare Required

Required Minimum Skills:

Detail oriented with above average analytical, organizational, interpersonal, project management, technical and computer/applications skills. High Must be able to communicate well with Wellstar employees and outside contacts at all levels and across multiple disciplines. Must be able to manage multiple responsibilities/duties.
