Senior Instrumentation Field Engineer

Our client, a leading industrial engineering and commissioning firm , is seeking a Senior Instrumentation Field Engineer to join their team. As the Sr. Instrumentation Field Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of facility startup and commissioning , leading a field team to validate and implement critical instrumentation systems. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, leadership experience, and a strong safety mindset to ensure accurate, on-time project execution.

Location: On-Site (Relocation Supported)

Compensation: $160K-$180K + Full Benefits + Relocation

What's the Job?

  Lead daily Job Safety Analysis (JSA) meetings to ensure safe practices in the field

  n

• n

  Supervise and mentor a team of instrumentation designers during commissioning

  n
n
• n

  Perform detailed facility walkdowns to validate instrumentation readiness

  n
n
• n

  Review/redline loop diagrams and confirm installation accuracy

  n
n
• n

  Validate installation of field equipment including temperature/pressure sensors, analytical instruments, valves, transmitters, gas detectors, and trays

  n
n
• n

  Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to resolve issues and meet design specs

  n
n

What's Needed?

• n

  8+ years in instrumentation design and field engineering

  n
n
• n

  Strong knowledge of industrial instrumentation and validation processes

  n
n
• n

  Proven ability to lead field teams through startup and commissioning

  n
n
• n

  Detail-oriented with strong troubleshooting and documentation skills

  n
n
• n

  U.S. work authorization (no sponsorship available)

  n
n

Preferred Experience

• n

  Hands-on Rosemont instrumentation experience (implementation and validation)

  n
n
• n

  Familiarity with process automation and control systems in industrial facilities

  n
n
