The Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos is focused on enhancing our IT programs and digital transformation efforts, enabling us to serve our clients effectively. We are currently seeking a Load Balance Network Engineer Subject Matter Expert (SME) for a significant enterprise IT contract with the Department of Defense (DoD). Your responsibilities will encompass the implementation, operation, and maintenance of load balancer technologies within a global enterprise environment that spans various networks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain operational integrity of SSL/TLS offloading and PKI authentication with F5 appliances.
• Ensure timely backups of load balancing configurations and PKI certificates as per client guidelines.
• Notify customers regarding impending PKI certificate expirations and assist in renewal processes.
• Create, manage, and troubleshoot load balanced IP address configurations.
• Collaborate with engineers and architects to develop effective technical solutions.
• Provide after-hours support to a 24/7 IT Operations Center for troubleshooting service outages.
• Document operating procedures and technical solutions to aid in troubleshooting efforts.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience administering and managing F5 load balancer appliances in large enterprise settings.
• Solid understanding of standards and tools related to F5 appliance monitoring and management.
• Technical expertise in backing up PKI certificates and appliance configurations.
• Ability to create, manage, and troubleshoot load balanced IP address arrangements.
• Experience working independently and in team settings to meet customer requirements.
• Familiarity with IT Service Management tools such as ServiceNow.

Certifications:

• Must meet DoDM certification requirements (Cloud+, GICSP, SSCP, Security+ CE, GSEC, or higher).
• Must possess at least an F5 Certified Administrator (201) certification or higher.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree with 12 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 10 years of experience; equivalent experience will also be considered.

Security Clearance:

• Must be a U.S. citizen with a TS/SCI clearance (with or without polygraph).
