This position allows for a hybrid arrangement with a mix of work from home and in the office. Depending on your location, this opportunity offers a generous relocation package.

  Support electrical design engineering efforts on multi-disciplined project design team

  n

• n

  Responsible for production of engineering calculations/analyses, design drawings and engineering reports

  n

• n

  Apply electrical engineering expertise to the design and qualification of structures, systems, and components

  n
n
• n

  Produce Procurement Specifications and Construction Specifications (electrical sections)

  n
n
• n

  Attend project meetings and perform field walk downs

  n
n
• n

  Mentor junior engineers

  n
n

Qualifications

Must be a U.S. Citizen; Dual citizenship with a country other than the U.S. does not qualify.

Essential skills and experience:

n
• n

  Must be able to obtain US Government security clearance

  n
n
• n

  BSEE degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program; MSEE preferred

  n
n
• n

  5+ years of progressive responsible experience in electrical engineering in a nuclear environment (DOE preferred, commercial, or Navy)

  n
n
• n

  Experience with producing engineering designs for low to medium voltage electrical distribution systems and instrumentation wiring; experience with more than one type of system a plus

  n
n
• n

  Experience with NEC, UL508, codes and IES Lighting Handbook

  n
n
• n

  Proficiency in load flow and/or arc flash analysis software such as ETAP and/or SKM Power Tools

  n
n
• n

  Proficiency in lighting analysis software such as Virtual and AGI32

  n
n

Valued but not required skills and experience:

• n

  PE license

  n
n
• n

  DOE experience preferred; commercial or Navy

  n
n
• n

  Field engineering and construction experience

  n
n
