What You’ll Be Doing
As the leader of a software delivery team dedicated to patient engagement products, you will employ modern technologies, architectures, and agile methodologies to drive solution design and delivery, enhancing patient experiences and improving treatment outcomes. You will work in close collaboration with the user experience and technology foundation teams to ensure products address patients\' needs. You will influence and refine the development process as we scale, establishing an operation that is impactful and adaptable to business and patient requirements.
How You’ll Succeed
- Lead, guide, and mentor delivery teams to design and build applications that exceed product goals and transform the ecosystem.
- Direct teams\' work, resourcing, budgeting, and problem solving to ensure delivery success.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and Product Managers to develop and influence roadmaps and release plans, ensuring alignment between features and business value.
- Maximize the potential of your team by fostering a collaborative environment that promotes innovation.
- Drive process changes, continually evaluating and enhancing software engineering processes, methodologies, and tools to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity.
- Communicate effectively with team members and product stakeholders, shaping consensus and clear expectations.
- Set clear objectives, scope, and schedules, ensuring the team understands priorities.
What You Should Bring
- Experience leading complex software engineering projects from inception to production.
- Professional experience in software delivery, with a focus on customer-facing applications using tools such as Jira and Confluence, and strong proficiency in agile delivery methodologies.
- Ability to think strategically at the ecosystem level, shaping technology and the customer experience.
- Demonstrated ability to scope, schedule, and resource multiple complex projects with cross-functional partners.
- Self-motivated, independent, and proactive with exceptional communication skills; able to convey complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong cross-functional influence in fast-paced environments with frequent context switching.
- Working understanding of Web Development, Machine Learning/AI, and Data Engineering concepts.
- Experience growing and maturing software engineering teams to deliver high-quality software products.
Your Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related technical field
- 5+ years in software delivery leadership roles
- Experience with web and cloud technologies

Our compensation and benefits: Actual pay will depend on experience and location. The anticipated wage range for this position is $154,500 - $226,600. Full-time employees are eligible for a company bonus and a comprehensive benefits program, including 401(k), health plans, and well-being programs. Lilly reserves the right to amend compensation and benefits programs at its sole discretion.
