As a Senior Director of Product Management, you will provide the leadership necessary to guide the next phase of growth and innovation for the Maps Experiences and Platforms. You will be instrumental in defining the future of how users experience the world through Maps, pushing the boundaries of visual representation (both 2D and 3D), leveraging AI to reimagine map creation, and ensuring the delivery of consistently great, intuitive, and highly performant user experiences. You will also define and evolve a portfolio of geospatial platforms that support a suite of business critical core services and clients Geo and Google. This includes the core maps platforms, location platforms, app Foundations, and analytics.

In this role, you will be a leader who pushes the boundaries of innovation while maintaining exquisite focus on operations as we serve users around the world. You will establish a foundation for the next generation of mapping platforms and experiences by anticipating the need for future innovation, setting the strategy and roadmap for these platforms and experiences, foster deep cross-functional collaboration, and scale our offerings across all Google clients with mapping needs. You will lead a team of highly skilled product managers and continue to grow and develop them to be excellent product leaders.

The Geo team is focused on building the most accurate, comprehensive, and useful maps for our users, through products like Maps, Earth, Street View, Google Maps Platform, and more. Every month, more than a billion people rely on Maps services to explore the world and navigate their daily lives. The Geo team also enables developers to use the power of Google Maps platforms to enhance their apps and websites. Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 15 years of product management or related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience launching consumer products or platforms at massive scale, demonstrating an understanding of user needs and market impact.
• Understanding of advanced visual technologies and platform architecture, including 3D.
• Ability to craft innovative, intuitive, and polished user-facing experiences across various visual dimensions.
• Ability to span both foundational platform development and compelling user-facing experiences, with experience connecting deep technical work directly to impactful user outcomes.
• Strategic mindset with a focus on future technologies and an understanding of how emerging technologies and advanced rendering techniques can be leveraged to transform platform capabilities and the overall user experience

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the product outlook, strategy, and roadmap for the next-generation basemap, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of all Google Maps verticals and provides a powerful, flexible foundation for automakers and third-party developers, encompassing both 2D and 3D elements to deliver excellent user experiences.
• Lead the strategic expansion of Maps platforms and experiences across first-party, second-party, and third-party integrations by thinking and building full-stack across the underlying platform and its consumer-facing experiences.
• Inspire and mentor a high-performing team of executive product managers and high-impact ICs, fostering a culture of innovation within the Maps Experiences Platform organization, with a focus on user-centric product development.
• Collaborate with Engineering, UX, and other cross-functional teams to translate product outlook into robust technical solutions.
