Senior Consultant, Evidence Synthesis and Indirect Treatment Comparison

OVERVIEW

The Senior Consultant role is an exciting opportunity for skilled project delivery leaders in the field of evidence synthesis research. In this position, you will be responsible for executing methodologically rigorous research while overseeing junior staff and managing project delivery. Your ability to work independently and collaboratively, anticipate project needs, and solve problems will be key to your success. We are looking for individuals with exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication abilities, who can engage effectively with clients to design projects that meet their needs.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE

You should have a deep understanding of systematic literature review methods and indirect treatment comparisons, including network meta-analysis and matching-adjusted indirect comparison. Additionally, knowledge of SLR guidelines and hands-on experience conducting ITCs using R, STATA, or SAS is essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design evidence synthesis studies that comply with HTA requirements, manage projects effectively, and develop high-quality deliverables.
• Demonstrate exceptional understanding of observational and trial study designs and interpret statistical results from published papers.
• Synthesize data both qualitatively and quantitatively.
• Oversee junior staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality work and review outputs meticulously.
• Assist more senior staff with specific business initiatives as needed.
• Work independently or as part of a project team, taking ownership of defined tasks.
• Collaborate effectively across time zones within a global team.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, TECHNICAL AND PERSONAL SKILLS

• Master's degree (required) or PhD (preferred) in epidemiology, pharmacology, public health, biostatistics, or another health science.
• 5+ years of experience in evidence synthesis research, preferably in consulting, pharmaceuticals, or academia.
  • Extensive experience independently conducting meta-analyses and indirect treatment comparisons using at least one programming language.
  • 2+ years of experience as the main client contact managing project delivery and implementation.
• Expertise in evidence synthesis methodologies.
• Outstanding attention to detail.
• Strong scientific and logical writing skills, with a proven track record of first-author conference abstracts and manuscripts.
• Ability to diligently quality check your own and others’ work, ensuring drafts are free of significant errors.
• Fluency in English (both spoken and written).
• Commitment to collaborative and effective teamwork.
• Dedication to timely communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Pragmatic and logical problem-solving skills applicable to project management.
• Solid understanding of project management with proven time management and organizational skills.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $121,500.00 - $303,700.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). In addition to base pay, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, along with a range of health and welfare benefits.
