What you'll do:
The Senior Collateral Specialist is responsible for supporting the Asset Based Lending (ABL) team which includes effectively and efficiently monitoring the underlying collateral supporting the outstanding balances on the asset based loan facilities. You'll also mentor new collateral specialists in the expectations and duties.

• Analyzes and assess collateral information to support Relationship Managers in determining risk involved in lending to customers.
• Process client funding requests, including data uploads, reviews or backup documentation, collateral verification, debtor qualifications, and funding submission for Relationship Manager approval. Review and verify clients borrowing base reports timely. Update clients borrowing availability on system as well as notifying Relationship Managers, Credit officers and / or clients of any issues.
• Promptly informs lenders and clients of funding issues and assists in resolution. Support Relationship Managers and works with clients to manage day to day collateral routines including paydowns, cash collection activities, disbursements and collateral reporting.
• Work directly with clients to resolve compliance issues and operational inquiries. Monitor collateral status and submit management reports timely to ensure compliance with Bank regulations.

What you'll need:

• 3+ years of related experience.
• High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
• Intermediate knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
• Intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
• Intermediate experience in commercial banking preferably working with loan support.
• Understanding financial analysis including a solid level understanding of excel spreadsheets and formulas.
• Intermediate attention to detail with ability to accurately complete data entry related tasks.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Intermediate speaking and writing communication skills.
