Job Summary

The Senior Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) plays a vital role in providing compassionate and personalized care to residents in long-term care. Under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN), you will help meet the physical and emotional needs of residents, enhancing their quality of life.

• Provide essential nursing care including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Monitor and record vital signs, ensuring timely communication of any changes to nursing staff.
• Support residents with mobility, offering assistance in transferring and walking using proper techniques.
• Create a positive and comforting dining experience by assisting residents during meals and ensuring adequate hydration.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in residents’ living areas through housekeeping and laundry services.
• Encourage resident participation in wellness and recreational programs to promote engagement and happiness.
• Complete necessary documentation related to resident care, behaviors, and dietary needs.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development, ensuring that you stay current with best practices in long-term care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be at least 16 years old. Previous experience in long-term care is an advantage.
• Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or ability to obtain within four months.
• Commitment to ongoing education: 12 hours of continuing education required annually.
• Must meet any required driving qualifications if applicable to facility needs.
