General Responsibilities:

• Analysis: Identify business challenges and opportunities, using insights to recommend strategic improvements.
• Product Development: Conduct modeling and analytics to inform new product and pricing strategies within our lending products.
• Marketing Support: Enhance direct-to-consumer marketing efforts, contributing to the design and development of innovative customer experiences and go-to-market strategies.
• Credit Risk Management: Deliver improvements in credit performance through insightful analysis connecting historical behavior with future consumer credit trends.
• Execution: Frame problems effectively, develop and test hypotheses, and lead implementation efforts with robust monitoring plans.
• Partnership: Collaborate closely with teams across Capital One, including IT, Sales, Operations, and Finance, to promote quality service and profitability.
• Strategic & Analytic Mindset: Demonstrate a strong orientation towards decision-making based on rigorous analytics, blending conceptual thinking with quantitative analysis.
• Leadership & Integrity: Exhibit sound business judgment and a responsible approach to decision-making.
• Communication Skills: Possess exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, using influence and negotiation skills to drive agreement.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Business, Math, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Science, Engineering).
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Business or a quantitative field (e.g., Finance, Economics, Physical Sciences, Math, Statistics, Engineering).
• 1+ years of experience in statistical model building.
• 1+ years of experience in market research.
• 1+ years of experience with SQL querying.
• 2+ years of experience in business analysis.
• 1+ years of consulting experience.

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below:

• McLean, VA: $109,000 - $124,400 for Sr. Business Analyst
• Richmond, VA: $99,100 - $113,100 for Sr. Business Analyst
