Job Overview
A law firm seeks a litigation attorney with 5-8 years of experience to join its aviation, aerospace, automotive, and product litigation and regulatory practice in Los Angeles, California. The ideal candidate will be a proactive litigator with excellent writing skills, capable of acting independently throughout the discovery process and assisting in trial.
Duties
- Take depositions, argue motions, and attend court hearings and mediations.
- Draft motions, pleadings, briefs, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
- Conduct complex legal research and analysis, drafting memoranda.
- Prepare status reports and recommendations for clients.
- Review document collections in preparation for litigation.
- Manage all aspects of litigation from initial pleading through trial.
Requirements
- Experience in aviation, products liability, and automotive warranty preferred.
- JD from a reputable law school with excellent academic credentials.
- Discovery and Law and Motion experience.
- Experience with California Lemon Law, including the Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act and Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.
- State and Federal court experience.
Education
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
