As a Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in access control at a prominent government location. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols to help to deter security-related incidents. Pay Rate: $17.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTime Wed 09:30 PM - 05:30 AM Sat 06:30 AM - 11:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to restricted areas, verifying credentials and authorizations in accordance with established protocols for government locations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or irregularities to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or client representatives.
• Assist visitors, employees, and contractors with access-related inquiries while maintaining a professional presence at all times.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as directed during incidents or drills.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration is required.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
