As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor entrances and exits, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents. Your presence will help create a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors while providing exceptional customer service and communication. This position requires a valid driver's license, as you may be responsible for driving as part of your duties. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized individuals.
• Provide customer service by assisting visitors and employees with access-related inquiries and procedures.
• Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies to help maintain a secure environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or irregularities according to company and client guidelines.
• Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and client contacts to support access control operations and emergency response activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
